Wishing you all the Best of the Season and Beyond!
After a few years hanging out in various exotic locales, Cody (Colorado), Shaine (Montana), and Annie (Taiwan, Walla Walla, New Orleans), are all back within blocks of each other in Seattle – Cody, with fiancé Angela, in Pioneer Square, Shaine, with hubby Chris in south Capitol Hill, and Annie, with bandmate Gretchen, about a mile north. About as close (to each other) as they can tolerate, I guess, and it makes it way easier for Cheryl and I to visit them all.
If you are ever in Seattle, go see our gals & guy if Chastity Belt (Annie on bass) or Boat Party (Shaine on bass, Chris on drums) is playing @ a club.
Cheryl, after spending six weeks @ OHSU in Portland at a midwifery refresher course, has plunged whole-heartedly into a reentry program, online via Philadelphia University and working clinically with a local midwife. The fortuitous end of her 20-year tenure at the Mary Bridge Child Abuse clinic offered her the chance to go Back to the Future. This time, it’s more about the Journey than the Destination.
Al spent the year adjusting to his new role as an Ob hospitalist with Group Health in Tacoma – 5 x 24 hours each month. The resulting free time leaves him much more able to recover after all the triathlon training he still insists on doing. Joined by Cheryl, sis Leigh and Bro-in-law Craig, Al celebrated his on-going recovery from his spinal cord injury (back in 2010) by racing once again at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI.
