The thing that freaks me out most about an Ironman is its inevitability. You wake up on Wednesday, and you’re one day closer to Saturday morning. It’s not like a training ride, which can always be deferred, or avoided, or delayed, or rescheduled. Nope, they mean to start at 7 AM on Saturday, whether any of us are ready or not.
